Designed by Sori Yanagi, one of the most renowned industrial designer in Japan for his simple and practical products ranging from furniture to kitchenware. As the son of the founder of the Mingei movement, Sori's designs were drawn from the aesthetics of Japanese folk crafts; finding beauty in the everyday objects made by unknown artists, focusing on using natural and local resources, traditional techniques and methods, and handmade production. His kitchen product series began with the extensive line-up of cutlery in 1974, extending to bowls, strainers, pots, colanders, pans, kettles, cast iron grills, kitchen knives, and utensils. The butter beater is made of highly durable and lightweight 18-8 stainless steel, and its seamless design makes it easy to clean. The extra thin and wide surface flexes easily to slide under food for delicate flipping or transferring, with the gently curved handle allowing for a comfortable and firm grip. Great for flipping fish, eggs, pancakes, or picking up freshly baked cookies. Features a matte finish that make stains and scratches less visible. Dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended.
