Handcrafted in Seki City, Gifu Prefecture of Japan, an area known for samurai swordsmithing with over 700 years of history making knives, this cheese knife works well with hard cheeses. Made of stainless steel, the blade features a flat wide surface suitable for cutting and crushing cheese, serving slices of cake, and spreading butter. The handle is made from Japanese "Keyaki" zelkova wood shaped into a rectangular form with curved edges for a comfortable grip. Made by craftsmen at SHIZU HAMONO, a knife manufacturing company established in 1980 using traditional techniques with updated standards and a take on contemporary design.
