Made by UMEZAWA in Nabari City, Mie Prefecture, Japan, a wood manufacturing company founded in 1915. The bath bucket uses Kiso Hinoki, a type of cypress wood native to the Kiso Valley in Nagano Prefecture. Kiso Hinoki is known as one of the three most beautiful woods in Japan, and is widely used as a high-grade building material for temples and shrines. These hinoki bath buckets not only have a pleasant aroma, but are also highly resistant to moisture and mold.
